Kawabe, Otake, Suda and nakayaan started mitsume in Tokyo in 2009. The band has released five albums and three singles on their own label. Apart from performing at big music festivals and staged headliner shows at major venues such as Ebisu LIQUIDROOM, Shibuya O-nest, Shibuya Quattro, WWW, WWW X, and many others. Mitsume is actively performing outside Japan. So far the band has travelled to China, Indonesia, Korea, USA and left strong impression with the local crowd.Mitsume shared the stage with Haunted Hearts (US) as back band, and has supported a number of foreign artists' Japanese show including Pavement, Deerhoof, American Football, Japanese Breakfast, Wax Witches, Tops, Veronica Falls, KINDNESS, deca joins, Mellow Fellow and Sunset Rollercoaster. Mitsume's music is widely praised for the unique combination of indie rock, dance music, funk and pop.
