Playtime Music Festival is Mongolia’s largest and longest-running annual music and arts festival, founded in 2002. What began as a small gathering of musicians and fans has grown into an international cultural platform, uniting thousands of people every summer to celebrate music, art, and community.

Every July, just before the Naadam holidays, Playtime transforms Ulaanbaatar into a vibrant creative hub. The festival showcases a wide spectrum of sounds — from rock, indie, and pop to hip-hop, electronic, and experimental — with performances by both rising Mongolian talents and world-renowned international artists.

In 2024, Playtime Festival introduced its new home, Playtime Field in Nalaikh, a purpose-built venue designed to welcome more than 30,000 visitors per day. With a strong commitment to sustainability, the festival promotes eco-friendly practices such as waste reduction, renewable energy, and the use of reusable materials — shaping a greener future for live events in Mongolia.

Playtime is more than music. Through its cultural program PT+, the festival also hosts art exhibitions, podcasts, poetry, comedy, wellness activities, and youth-led initiatives. These spaces open doors for dialogue, discovery, and creative expression, making Playtime a one-of-a-kind experience that bridges Mongolia with the global arts community.
